Lorraine Rodríguez-Reyes is a dynamic Puerto Rican actress, writer, and educator originally from New York City. She holds an MFA from Harvard University’s American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T.)/Moscow Art Theatre Institute for Advanced Theatre Training and brings a wealth of experience across stage, screen, and the classroom.
On screen, Lorraine is known for her roles as Beatriz on Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias, as well as appearances in The Ms. Pat Show (BET+), What Would You Do? (ABC), The Walking Dead (AMC), Legacies (CW), Good Girls (NBC), The Haves and the Have Nots (OWN), The Sopranos (HBO), and several independent films, including Room for Murder, The Stick Up Kids, and Willets Point, for which she was nominated for Best Dramatic Actress at the Long Island International Film Expo.
On stage, Lorraine has worked extensively in New York and internationally. Highlights include Verse Chorus Verse at Cherry Lane Theatre, On The Edge at Mint Theatre, La Gringa at Repertorio Español, and A Bicycle Country and Dog Day Afternoon at Theatre Row. She received an OOBer Award for her performance as La Extraña in De Dónde at The Looking Glass Theatre. International credits include Dostoevsky’s Demons with the Moscow Art Theatre and Three Sisters at Columbia Stages.
A proud writer and solo performer, Lorraine created and starred in the award-winning one-woman show Mami Confessions, which won NYC’s ONE Festival and later made its Atlanta debut at the Aurora Theatre. She also serves as a part-time Assistant Professor at Georgia State University, where she brings her professional experience in acting and storytelling to the next generation of artists.
With deep roots in her Puerto Rican heritage, Lorraine continues to champion diverse narratives and culturally rich storytelling through every project she takes on.
